How do authorizations work?
Your medical provider must contact Pinnacol to request prior authorization for certain medical treatments and services. Upon receipt of your provider's prior authorization request we will notify the provider no later than 7 business days with a decision. If you believe you should have heard from us already please contact your claim representative.
